KN95 refers to the protection standard of masks. "KN" or "N" means protection for non-oily particles (such as viruses, bacteria, dust, etc.) and "95" means that the filter efficiency of the mask is greater than or equal to 95% under standard conditions. Protection levels N95 and KN95 are equivalent in terms of product classification and filter efficiency.
In addition, the protection levels of N95 and KN95 are equivalent to FFP2 masks that comply with the European standard EN149, i.e. the filtering efficiency of the masks is greater than or equal to 94% under the conditions specified by the European standard.
