PLUTO Trigger

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
A release cable (PT-CABLE-xx) from the Pluto Trigger to the camera is additionally required. Please check the compatibility list (see Download) to see which cable type fits your camera.

The Pluto Trigger is an intelligent high-speed shutter release that is remotely controlled using the free app "Pluto Trigger" (iOS and Android), which is connected via Bluetooth LE. A total of 24 modes are available. The Pluto Trigger can be used as a remote trigger as well as for time-lapse, HDR, video recording and flash photography. In addition, the trigger can also use the sensors in the smartphone, e.g. for sounds, light or via laser barrier (the laser barrier is included).
With the heat-sensitive sensor, the Pluto Trigger can sense the body heat of animals, for example, and thus trigger the camera.
But water droplet photography is also possible. The trigger can release the camera within milliseconds to capture water droplets colliding in the air (this requires the optional PT-VALVE valve). In addition, the trigger can be activated when the smartphone senses vibrations or movements, as well as by the smartphone's smile feature. The app is also able to calculate the depth of field, shutter speed and settings when using an ND grey filter. The app can also calculate sunsets/rises and the 500 rule for astrophotography.

In addition to triggering via the appropriate camera cable (PT-CABLE-xx), PLUTO can also trigger suitable cameras via infrared signal. Please consult the manufacturer or the operating instructions of your camera.

For wireless, simultaneous triggering of several cameras, a commercially available radio transmitter (e.g. from VILTROX or others) is required on the PLUTO side and several compatible radio receivers on the camera side.

Please check if your smartphone is compatible with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Compatible devices include: iPhone 4s or later, iPad 3 or later, iPod Touch 5 or later, iPad Mini, Android 4.3 with Bluetooth 4.0 LE or later.
